Bienestar Animal

The EBU’s Animal welfare group is restarting and we welcome new members.

Nuestro propósito es ejercer presión en Bruselas por el bienestar animal, para desarrollar leyes de la UE que conduzcan a una reducción del sufrimiento de los animales en la industria alimentaria.

Para el budismo, el ser humano no es el centro del universo.

Según el budismo, los seres humanos y el mundo en el que vivimos no fueron creados por un ser supremo que también creó a los animales para ser nuestro alimento, para darnos sus pieles y para servirnos de muchas maneras.

Rather, we humans are part of nature, just like all other forms of life on planet Earth. Though we have a kind of intelligence which is different from that of animals, this difference does not imply superiority and does not give us a kind of ‘divine right’ to decide over the life and death of other forms of life.
