{"id":4397,"date":"2026-05-26T07:04:19","date_gmt":"2026-05-26T07:04:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/europeanbuddhistunion.com\/?post_type=member&#038;p=4397"},"modified":"2026-05-26T10:09:38","modified_gmt":"2026-05-26T10:09:38","slug":"order-of-buddhist-contemplatives","status":"publish","type":"member","link":"https:\/\/europeanbuddhistunion.com\/es\/members\/order-of-buddhist-contemplatives\/","title":{"rendered":"Order of Buddhist Contemplatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Order of Buddhist Contemplatives (OBC) is an international order of male and female monastics, who, together with lay ministers of the order and many congregation members, are dedicated to practicing the Dharma in the Serene Reflection Meditation tradition of Buddhism, also called Soto Zen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is a monastery of the OBC in the U.K. (Throssel Hole Buddhist Abbey), where the European offices of the order are located, as well as a variety of smaller temples, priories and affiliated meditation groups in Britain, Germany, the Netherlands and Latvia.
