For more than fifteen years, Ven. Dario Doshin Girolami has walked into Rebibbia, Rome’s largest prison, and sat down to meditate with the people inside. His was the first Buddhist meditation course held in an Italian prison, and it was out of that work that the Rete di Assistenza Spirituale EBU<\/a> grew \u2014 the network he founded and still guides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This October, that experience becomes a course open to everyone. Over four Saturdays, hosted online by the San Francisco Zen Center, Dario will weave the stories of the people he has practised with behind bars together with the teachings of D\u014dgen and Suzuki Roshi \u2014 and put a quiet question to everyone listening: what if the most confining prisons are the ones our own minds keep building?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
