Our Story
Theg-Chog Norbu Ling® was established in France in 1997 years ago under the vision of Lama Sangyay Tendzin, under the spiritual authority and guidance of His Holiness The KARMAPA, Orgyen Trinley Dorje.
TNG-Centre® is situated at the foot of the Pyrenees Mountain in the ‘Haute Vallée des Corbières’, in southern France. An ideal environment for the development of meditation practice.
It is a self-sufficient Eco-Dharma community of monastic and lay practitioners.

Our Spiritual Lineage
One of the four lineages of Tibetan Buddhism, the 900-year-old Karma Kagyu Lineage is headed by His Holiness Orgyen Trinley Dorje, who was recognised by the 14th Dalai Lama as the 17th incarnation of The Gyalwang Karmapa. H. H. Karmapa is considered an emanation of Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of loving kindness and compassion, as well as the sixth Buddha to be coming on earth in this fortunate eon.
VENERABLE LAMA SANGYAY TENDZIN
Venerable Lama Gelong Sangyay Tendzin carries the live transmission of Karma Kagyu Lineage, from Buddha Shakyamuni to 17th Karmapa. Having devoted the past 40 years to the practice and propagation of Buddha-dharma, he spent a decade in solitary retreat in the Himalayas, under the guidance of great Tibetan masters of the Karma Kamtshang tradition.
Our Activities
Seminars and Retreats designed to make the Buddhist teachings accessible for all ages. For those new to Buddhism, there are introductory foundation courses, from how to meditate to general introduction to Tibetan Buddhism. TNG also offers training in the Buddhist practice in the Tibetan teachings of Mahamudra, that leads to the direct realization of enlightenment.
Konchog Tsegpa Parkhang: For the preservation of Tibetan Dharma Teachings and Text Practices, an editing house was established under the spiritual inspiration of H.H. Karmapa. So far, more than 150 titles of practice and teaching texts have been published in Tibetan, English and French.
Environmental Care: We practice protection of the environment by developing mindful respect for the planet. Two large sustainable vegetable gardens using biodynamic and forest composting method are dedicated to the goddesses White Tara and Green Tara. These provide healthy food for the community.
Dorje Sempa Mantra Recitation An uninterrupted mantra recitation of Dorje Sempa for the purification and benefit of the world.

Retreat Information
Available for a few days or several months, the Centre provides full board accommodation for retreats.
Individual rooms – Double rooms – Triple rooms – Site for camping in tent or caravan.
Meals are vegetarian with organic vegetables mostly from our biodynamic garden.
