Was wir tun

The EBU and European institutions

The European Buddhist Union is active in several European institutions including the European Parliament, the Council of Europe and the European Union.

SASCE: safer Buddhist communities

SASCE is a multi-layered project to dramatically increase security in and around places of worship, as well as within and between Christian, Buddhist, Muslim and Jewish communities.

The EBU and interfaith dialogue

Promotion and protection of freedom of religion or belief. In the face of growing polarisation in Europe, the EBU values inter-faith and inter-convictional dialogue as conditions for democratic cohesion, conflict prevention and livingtogether in harmony in a European culture based on human dignity, equality and respect.Below you can see particular ways in which we express this value.

Das Ethik- und Seelsorge-Netzwerk der EBU

Das Ethik- und Seelsorge-Netzwerk der EBU supports Buddhist chaplaincy in Europe, which is a growing field of spiritual care.

Rooted in the Buddha’s teachings, chaplaincy offers compassionate support to people of all faiths and none, in prisons, healthcare and palliative care.

Mindfulness + emotional wellbeing in schools

Teach Peace is an educational initiative supported by the European Buddhist Union.

Mainly active in the UK and Europe, the project helps school teachers to create calmer, more compassionate, and socially connected learning environments. It promotes peace not only as the absence of conflict, but as emotional well-being, empathy, respectful communication, and healthy relationships within schools.

.Jugend

Wie können wir starke und nachhaltige Verbindungen unter jungen Buddhisten in Europa aufbauen? Verbindung beginnt mit Kommunikation; Kommunikation darüber, was wir tun, und dann gemeinsame Projekte durchführen.
