The EBU and European political institutions

The European Buddhist Union is active in several European institutions, including the European Parliament, the Council of Europe and the European Union.

EBU representatives take part regularly in conferences and high-level meetings under the heading of ‘Article 17’ of the Lisbon Treaty, which provides for open dialogue between the European Parliament and churches, religious associations and philosophical and non-confessional organisations.
