The European Buddhist Union (EBU) was founded in Paris in 1975 and is today based in Brussels. Now over 50 years old, it has grown into an association of around 50 European Buddhist organisations and national Buddhist unions, representing many of the estimated 2.5 million Buddhists in Europe.
